Multilingual News Instructions:


  • AI extract tool:
    Any files used on AI to build HTML will be discarded after being processed. Please always check the output from the tool, as the AI can make mistakes.
  • Banner:
    Upload a file with 1080 x 1350 pixels of size. If the file has the correct dimensions, simply mark the "star" icon  to include it on the article and rotator.
  • Text and HTML tabs:
    Prioritize using AI to type the text for you. If AI is not available, "copy and paste" from the PDF in the "Text" tab. The tool will input the HTML code.
  • Cut-Off Date:

Mission Statement

Mission Statement

Today we celebrate Christ’s ascension into heaven and his commissioning of the disciples to carry on his mission in the world. First we hear Luke’s description of those events in the opening verses of the Acts of the Apostles. Next we hear words of encouragement and guidance from the Letter to the Ephesians. Finally we hear Mark’s account of the Ascension, foretelling the mighty words and acts the Christian community would do in Jesus’ name.

Together these scriptures give us a vision of the mission of the church of Jesus Christ—a mission statement of sorts. Like mission statements in our parishes and corporations, this mission statement can help us set priorities and focus our activities. It can guide and support us as we strive to continue Christ’s messianic mission on earth.

Declaración de la Misión

Hoy celebramos la Ascensión de Cristo al cielo y su elección de los discípulos para que continuaran su misión en el mundo. Primero escuchamos la descripción de Lucas de dichos acontecimientos en los primeros versículos de los Hechos de los Apóstoles. Luego escuchamos palabras de aliento y consejo en la carta a los efesios. Por último, escuchamos el relato de Marcos de la Ascensión, que predice las poderosas palabras y obras que la comunidad cristiana hará en nombre de Jesús.

Juntas, estas lecturas nos brindan una visión de la misión de la Iglesia de Jesucristo, una especie de declaración de misión. Como las declaraciones de misión de nuestras parroquias y empresas, esta declaración de misión puede ayudarnos a establecer prioridades y enfocar nuestras actividades. Puede guiarnos y apoyarnos mientras luchamos por continuar la misión mesiánica de Cristo en la tierra.

That Man is You! combines Scripture, solid secular research, and a little fun to address the pressures and temptations facing men in our modern culture.

It seeks to form authentic leaders who will be capable of transforming homes and society. We meet at the Parish hall every Thursday at 7:00 pm.

Becoming a godparent/sponsor in the Catholic Church

Being chosen as a godparent for baptism is an honor, for the godparent traditionally becomes a spiritual companion to the one being baptized in a journey of faith. Please decide if your faith life makes you ready to publicly pledge that you have been leading a life in harmony with the Catholic tradition.

Godparents should be both role models and resource persons, individuals who are at ease with the practice of their faith and would normally be considered as “active Catholics.” They should be people who are comfortable with answering questions about their personal relationship with God as experienced in the Catholic Communion, even if they are unsure of all the technicalities.

El ser escogido como padrino de bautismo es un honor; tradicionalmente el padrino se convierte en la compañía espiritual de quien ha sido bautizado en el camino de la fe. Por favor decida si su vida de fe lo hace estar preparado para que prometa públicamente que ha estado llevando una vida en armonía con la tradición Católica.

Los Padrinos deben cumplir el rol los modelos y personas reservadas que están cómodos con la practica de su fe y normalmente serian considerados como “Católicos activos.” Ellos deben ser personas que se sientan cómodos con las preguntas acerca de sus relaciones personales con Dios como las experimentadas en la Comunión Católica, aunque no estén seguros de todos los detalles.
